1. Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Grease and line two 20cm round cake tins.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Fold in the flour until just combined. Then mix in the melted white chocolate and chopped strawberries, making sure they're evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

8. To assemble the cake, place one of the cakes on a plate or cake stand. Spread a layer of buttercream over the top of the cake, then place the second cake on top. Spread the remaining buttercream over the top and sides of the cake.

9. Decorate with fresh strawberries and serve.
